FIBA 2026 RULES CHANGE SEMINAR – A GREAT SUCCESS
The session was led by veteran referee Ian Lester, alongside Steve Lindoe and Stu Rennie, who took everyone through the key FIBA 2026 rule changes and what they mean for our league going into the new season. It was fantastic to see referees, officials, coaches and members of our basketball community coming together to learn, ask questions and make sure we're all prepared for the changes ahead.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended today’s TyneMet League Rules Change Seminar at Hadrian School, Bertram Crescent.

Sessions like this are hugely important in keeping everyone informed and helping us maintain consistent officiating across the TyneMet League.
The session was also live streamed today.
We did experience a few technical difficulties along the way, but thankfully we managed to capture and broadcast the important parts of the session. Thank you to everyone who tuned in and stuck with us.
We’ll also be releasing another video covering the rule changes on our official TyneMet Basketball YouTube channel.
We ask everyone to please subscribe to the channel. Growing our YouTube channel will help us continue to bring you coverage of future events, rules seminars and other TyneMet League content.
